Alessandro was born in Viterbo in 1991. At the age of 8 his grandfather bought him his first bike and in 1999 he made his debut in minicross. 2006 was the year of huge success. Alessandro managed to win three Championships in the 85cc category: the Italian, the European and the World Championships.
In 2007 he debuted in the MX2 World Championship and managed to get on two podiums in the following years. In 2014 he joined the Gruppo Sportivo Fiamme Oro of the Italian police force Polizia di Stato. The year after he competed as a Rookie in the MXGP class with good results and today he is the second rider in the Italian ranking.
At a national level, Alessandro is 7 times Italian Champion.
In the 2021 season Alessandro, with MRT Racing Team KTM, achieved a great Top Ten in the MXGP World Championship and together with his team mates Antonio Cairoli and Mattia Guadagnini he won the Motocross of Nations in Mantova, becoming World Champion.
In 2023 he raced with Beta bike of MRT Racing Team his last MXGP season. In 2024 he will race with Team Maddi Racing in the Italian championship with the new Ducati prototype.
